Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola-Salako is starting a foundation for old artistes in the movie industry. Many times, old movie artistes have come out to seek help over their ill health.
To put an end to this, Foluke Daramola-Salako is teaming up with some organizations to build a mutual benefits social trust fund for them.

NOLLY VETERANS SOS
PROJECT 2019! “I always feel sad, when some of these aged and ‘obscene’ generational actors call me on phone, most times, to ask me to help with money, that under normal circumstances, they should be able to afford to get by themselves to take care of their certain immediate needs.
Some of them call me in the dead of the evenings to ask for ridiculous amounts as low as 3000 naira to buy food or drugs to take care of their health issues. Sometimes, I find it difficult to sleep off it, and so, I decided to come up with the idea of the gesture of this Nolly veteran social welfare intervention initiative to help raise and build a mutual benefits social trust funds into a pension and life care scheme to progressively ensure they live a better life, under the care of my NGO and that of a selected and credible pension managers organisation(s) we are going to be partnering with to jointly run the initiative.
This is my passion for the course and this is what I shall be committed to do in the course of the present time. Our aim at PARA Africa foundation, is to see that these abandoned and helpless aged actors, who have contributed in no small measures to the growth, development and survival of our movie industry in Nigeria live happily, healthily and productively again.
On November 29, 2019 we are going to be hosting a collection of them at a grand gala event for deserved celebration, honour of life time achievements awards and to kick start the running of our humanitarian initiative in earnest for their life care.
Friday, November 29, 2019 @ the prestigious Anchor event centre on Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos is the D- day. See you there with your attendance and support to identify with our course.
It is going to be a beautiful collection of all the aged and generational Nollywwod actors you have missed their faces and acting entertainment on the screen in recent time” – Foluke Darmola Salako, Nollywood veteran actress; film producer, director and Africa President, Passion Against Rape and Abuse in Africa Foundation, PARA Africa.
