The chairman of the Nigerians Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa has reacted to the killing of the former Deputy Director General of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN); Mrs Elizabeth Ndubuisi-Chukwu who was found dead in her hotel room on June 13, while she was in the country to attend the conference of the African Insurance Organisation, AIO. Reacting to the news, she said;
“I am saddened by the unfortunate murder of Mrs. Elizabeth Ndubuisi-Chukwu, in South Africa. This is one death too many and will not be swept under the carpet. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family of Mrs. Ndubuisi-Chukwu on behalf of the government and the good people of Nigeria.
I remain confident in the determination of the Nigerian High Commission in Pretoria and the Consulate General in Johannesburg to ensure those that are behind this dastardly act are brought to book”.
The federal government has also condemned the unfortunate act urging the South African government to account for the murder of the late Deputy Director.
