Chelsea’s Eden Hazard has called French striker, Olivier Giroud the best targetmen in the world after the former Arsenal striker assisted two of Hazard’s three in the 4-1 win over Cardiff on Saturday.
Speaking after the game, Hazard who won the man of the match award after his hat-trick was full of praise for Giroud.
He said: “He’s a targetman, maybe the best in the world. I think so. When he gets the ball, he can hold it and we can go with him.
He also contrasted the Frenchman’s style with Morata’s and said it was good the team has two strikers with contrasting styles.
“For us, he’s a player to play with. When Alvaro was playing it is completely different, he’s a different player with different qualities, and it’s good to have two good strikers in the team. He said.
Giroud was Chelsea only change from their last game and repaid the coach’s fate with two assists. Chelsea remain unbeaten after five wins in five games.
