Greece has reportedly paid off an arrears of 2 billion Euros to the International Monetary Fund. Greece has faced a difficult financial situation since June when it missed a debt repayment leading to fears of a possible exit from the Eurozone.
However, all those speculations can safely be considered in the past, with Greece securing a third and necessary bailout, albeit with stiff austerity measures in exchange. Already, Greek banks reopened yesterday after a 3 week closure as a result of the banks running out of money.
Negotiations are expected to begin soon on the approved 86 billion Euros bailout.
