President Muhammadu Buhari today met with the officials of the Bring Back Our Girls campaign, an organisation which was set up to keep the government acting following its refusal to act upon the abduction of over 200 girls from Chibok.
Although it’s been more than a year since the girls went missing and with no hope in sight that the girls may be found, the Bring Back Our Girls campaigners have lost neither momentum nor hope that the girls would be found and brought back alive.
With the backing of former Minister, Mrs Oby Ezekwesili, the group has reminded the government that the lives of the girls mean something to the whole nation.
The President met with the campaigners at the Presidential Villa today, he took an opportunity to take a swipe at the Jonathan administration for its incompetent handling of the abduction.
The Vice President as well as other top officials were present and the President gave his assurance that he would do his best to ensure that the girls are released.
