Former minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro has again suffered a delay in his confirmation as Minister. Musiliu Obanikoro, who lost the gubernatorial primaries of his party to Jimi Agbaje was recently nominated again alongside four other persons by the President to serve in his cabinet.
Musiliu Obanikoro was recently embroiled in the Ekiti audio tape scandal as he was alleged to have participated in rigging the election in Ekiti state.
The Senate cleared four ministerial nominees today but shifted Obanikoro’s confirmation till next week as a result of speculation that APC members have plans to block his appointment.

He is now expected to face the Senate on March 10.
