“For you to liberate your people, you have to create platforms for them to be educated. The church is doing well in that direction. I thank you. I ask that you continue to pray for the nation.

“A number of people are predicting quite a number of things. But, I know that God Almighty is in control of our lives.

“The elections of next month will be peaceful and the nation will move in the direction that we want,” he said.”I don’t want to talk too much before the say I came here to campaign,” the President said, eliciting laughter. “I want to thank you for everything you have been doing.”

After the President’s speech, before the Bishop gave his message, he led a session of prayers for Dr. Jonathan. Referencing 1 Timothy 2:1-2 and Numbers 6:23 – 25,Oyedepo said it was our responsibility to pray for Christians to pray for their king and he would then bless the President in line with God’s instructions to Moses to Aaron the priest.
