Again things started late, I was pondering why a lot of people didn’t show up i find that very disturbing but the show still had to go on.
The Show Room
It wasn’t interesting like Day One. Although my favourites GTBank, Maybelline New York Nigeria and Dark and Lovely (maybe because they gave free samples lol) today. Heineken joined the Fayrouz bar and the lounge was packed it literally took me 20 minutes before I could get a drink.
Highlights
For those who saw the pitch black Instagram post, towards the end of the show that was 10 whole minutes. People started standing up & hitting the lounge for drinks while the technicans took there time to get things back up. TI Nathan showcased his collection again today but these were more colourful pieces with crazy designs and use of bright palets.
Kenneth Ize’s collection was a tad uninteresting if you ask me they looked like modern day rags I could never see myself in any of his pieces but oh well, its fashion.
Maki Oh! who closed the show literally stole the show. She schooled designers on elegance, precision and accuracy. Her show was abosolutely amazing!! I loved how I could see myself wearing majority of her pieces and that’s when you spot a good designer. Ermm lets not forget the fact I wanna be like Michelle Obama .
I really fancied Sunny Rose’s collection full of spunk and charisma she had lots of pop culture going on with a mix of proper regal style I personally loved the masks. I died twice such creativity was very overwhelming for me,
So Grey really stepped up there game this year, i liked the flowing dresses and cut outs very chic but still kinda professional I would definately wear some of these pieces!
McMeka
McMeka killed the show’ menswear never look so good. Loved the block of colours and versatile pallet this shows how menswear designers aren’t afraid to try out new things which is fashion forward and thinking out side the box *winks*.
Best Dressed
Temi Dollface (wearing Maki Oh) she looked incredible! I loved her sequined top!! Very chic and perky.
Poe
Okay, before you ask me why I chose Poe take a look at his outfit, tux pants matched with a Tee, round hat and to top everything off sandals! I loved his confidence I think he looked hot and laid back but still fashionable! Poe definately brought a different sexy back!
So there you have it Day Two of Lagos Fashion And Design Week.
