The sprawling gulf between the mentally and physically disabled and the rest of the society was incredibly replaced with uncommon care when MTN Project Fame contestants visited the Children’s Development Centre, in Surulere, last week. It was a day set aside to bring love and care to the people who are in need of rare emotional and physical attention. The visit raised the pedigree of the reality show as one truly in touch with life and the desire to aid quality existence.
As well, it brings to prominence the work MTN Foundation begun in 2006 to help attain the vision of the special centre, which includes providing ‘support services to children and young adults with developmental disabilities’. Amongst other things the foundation has been pivotal in boosting research work and providing materials to give life to the centre. That humanitarian support was further buttressed by the MTN Project Fame contestants who spared no touch or embrace to humanize the kids and adults who are currently being cared for by the centre.

Meanwhile, Taiwo Okunola, the ‘Omo-Ibadan’, has been eliminated from the reality show. Unable to secure enough viewers votes during the course of the week, he, Christian, Shola and Daniella were placed on probation. While Shola was the popular choice of the other contestants, Daniella was saved by the judges and Christian by the Faculty. Viewers can help their favourite contestants continue on the show by texting the contestant unique numbers to 306 in Nigeria and I745 in Ghana.
