With so many controversies about the
over 100 missing School Girls abducted from Chibok which has gone global, we have had lots of international celebrities join the campaign and this includes Lydia Obute Austria born Nigerian and Winner of Austria’s next top model 2011. She has not only joined the campaign but she’s left everything to come home to Nigeria to ensure that she contributes positively to mitigate against the various challenges faced by the female in Nigeria in old and recent times. See photos below
Lydia Nnenna Obute – A model and actress that has established a successful career, jet sets between Austria and England. Born and raised in Baden, the self-described Nigerian-Austrian’s break came when she was 15 years old and spontaneously accompanied a friend to the ‘Elite Model Look Competition’ and made it to the top finals.
There was no going back at this point and Lydia was introduced to a wider spectrum when she won the third season “Austria’s Next Top Model” in 2011 making her the first African to win such a huge competition in that country.
The theme of the competition for that season was “The Prettiest in The Country” This then made a black woman and in fact a Nigerian the prettiest girl in Austria.
More of her work in Nigeria coming soon…
We do hope the girls will be released soon.
