A publication celebrating the achievements of Nigerians in diaspora has been launched by the House Committee on Diaspora under the chairmanship
of Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa.
The first of its kind in this part of the world , the magazine titled The Diasporan Wazobia has on the cover of its current edition Dr. Isa Odidi, a Nigerian pharmaceutical giant in Canada who is patenting a drug that prevents suicide.
The maiden edition launched by Vice President Namadi Sambo, featured Bayo Ogunlesi a Nigerian who now owns the London Gatwick airport.
Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa said the magazine is the committee’s contribution at celebrating enormous achievements of Nigerians abroad.
She noted that while only negative stories are heard about Nigerians abroad, there are more good stories than bad about Nigerians in diaspora.
As a journalist herself, she decided that nobody can tell our stories but ourselves hence the making of The Diasporan Magazine, find more information on www.diasporanwazobia.com
