The Nigeria Archery Team has once again brought immense pride to the nation with a remarkable performance at the 11th International Archery Grand Prix and the 14th West and Central African Archery Zone Championship (TIZOCATA). The prestigious events, hosted by the Ivorian Archery Federation (FIVTA), took place at the Robert Champroux Stadium in Marcory, Abidjan, from August 18 to 25, 2024.
Team Nigeria showcased exceptional skill and dominance in Barebow, Recurve, and Compound Archery, securing an impressive haul of 16 medals: 10 gold, 2 silver, and 4 bronze, across various categories.
The team, composed of talented archers from ARCH Archery Club and ZEN Archery Club, demonstrated unwavering dedication and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. Their hard work and commitment to excellence were evident as they earned Nigeria a prominent position on the international archery stage.
This achievement not only reflects the growth of the sport in the country but also highlights the commitment of our athletes and archery organisations to excellence.
The delegation, includes Aliyu Garga Abubakar, Emmanuel Oyeleke, Damilola Sholademi, Aliyu Garga, Caster Emmanuel, Abdulhamid Umaru, Junaid Oluwatosin, Adebayo-Lateef Mubarak, Ado Mohammed, and Aderinoye Aderonke.
