Britney Spears and her mom, Lynne Spears, are healing their mother-daughter bond after three years of tension.
The pop singer revealed on Instagram that her “sweet mama” paid her a visit on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, marking the first time they’ve seen each other since the singer was freed from her conservatorship in 2021.
“My sweet mama showed up at my doorstep yesterday after 3 years, it’s been such a long time, Britney Spears wrote. “With family, there’s always things that need to be worked out but time heals all wounds! And after being able to communicate what I’ve held in for an extremely long time, I feel so blessed we were able to try to make things right.”
Spears continued: “I’m so blessed we can have coffee together after 14 years !!! Let’s go shopping afterwards.”
The two have had a complicated relationship over the last decade with Britney previously claiming that Lynne was behind the conservatorship which controlled most aspects of her life for almost 13 years.
