Nigerian filmmaker and director Kemi Adetiba and her husband Oscar Heman-Ackah are celebrating their first traditional marriage anniversary today, April 23rd.
The couple, who got married in a beautiful traditional ceremony last year, took to their respective social media pages to express their gratitude and joy.
Adetiba, in a post on her Instagram page, shared photos from their traditional wedding and expressed her gratitude for their loved ones and family who came out to celebrate with them.
She also hinted at a grand finale white celebration that will incorporate all three dates of their wedding ceremonies.
The filmmaker also playfully joked about returning the truck of yam and fish that was given to her father as bride price if her husband annoys her.
She concluded by thanking their guests for coming out to celebrate with them.
Kemi Adetiba is a renowned filmmaker and director known for her work on the popular Nigerian movie “The Wedding Party” and its sequel. She has also directed music videos for several top Nigerian artists. Her husband Oscar Heman-Ackah is a marketing and branding expert.
