Rivers Angels squared up against Osun Babes yesterday at the Osogbo Township Stadium for their Matchday 10 fixture in the Nigerian Women Football League (NWFL).
Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke admonished the girls before the match, speaking about his plans for football in the state and the nation as a whole. He believed sports was all about love.
The governor also spoke about his active days, “I myself, I’m a footballer, in my days when I was playing, I played outside right.”
Goals from Okwuchukwu and Ikekhua gave Rivers Angels a 2-1 victory against Osun Babes at the Osogbo Township Stadium.
