Kano market fire victims receive N250m donation from Ganduje

A statement released to the media by Muhammad Garba, the state commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, announced that Abdullahi Ganduje, the Governor of Kano State, has donated N250 million to aid the victims of the recent fire disaster at Singer and Kurmi markets in the state.

The purpose of the donation is to provide immediate relief to the affected traders who lost their belongings in the fire.

The governor will present the cheques to the leaders of the traders’ associations at the Government House in Kano. Ganduje expressed his condolences to the victims and urged individuals and organizations to assist the traders in any way possible.

One of the affected traders, Adamu Abdullahi, expressed gratitude to the governor and the state government for their support and expressed hope that the committee set up to evaluate the situation would recommend additional assistance.
