Lagos Bus/Train crash: Sanwo-Olu pays condolence visit to families of deceased

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Friday, March 10, 2023, paid a condolence visit to the homes of those who lost their lives in the unfortunate Bus/Train accident which occurred in the PWD area of the State in the early hours of Thursday, March 9, 2023

Six people lost their lives in the unfortunate incident, while several others sustained severe and minor injuries, following the crash which involved the BRT bus, which was conveying about 85 staff of the Lagos State government to Alausa, Ikeja to resume their daily assignments.

Governor Sanwo-Olu, who was accompanied by the Head of Service (HoS), Hakeem Muri- Okunola and Cabinet members, visited the family homes of Esther Rokosu, a staff of the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS); Miss Aina OreOluwa Juliana and a 54-year old Mrs. Victoria Johnson nee Dada.

The late Miss Aina, a Youth Corp member, was serving in the Ministry of Education before the sad incident, while Mrs. Johnson, who also died in the accident was a Social Welfare Officer at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH).

During the visit, prayers were offered for the deceased families, various ministries, and the Lagos State Government.
