Dr. Josef Onoh, the South East Presidential campaign spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress (APC), has appealed to the Igbo community in Lagos State to vote for Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for a second term on March 11.

Onoh stated that the Governor has shown support and kindness towards the Igbos in Lagos in the past four years and therefore deserves their support. He recounted how Sanwo-Olu helped former Super Eagles captain, Henry Nwosu, during his illness, and also built him a house.

Onoh urged the Igbos to ignore misleading statements made by a faction of Ohanaeze Ndigbo against the Governor and the Oba of Lagos.

He noted that Lagos remains a center of cultural melting point where there is a high level of ethnic tolerance and great opportunities for the Igbos.

Onoh also emphasized the need for ethnic tolerance and unity amongst the Igbos and Yorubas in Lagos politics and daily living, stating that Lagos is a state that gives a voice to other ethnic groups in political affairs in Nigeria.
