South African Opera singer, Pretty Yende will perform at King Charles III’s coronation on the 6th of May at Westminster Abbey, London.
The invitation is synonymous with Kiri Te Kanawa’s rendition at Charles and the late Diana, Princess of Wales‘s wedding in 1981.
Te Kanawa was the same age as Yende when she gave her royal performance.

Although Britain’s top artist politely turned the royal invitation, Yende grabbed the privilege and shared her excitement on her Instagram page.
