Obi will go down as Nigeria’s ‘most dangerous, divisive politician’ – APC PCC
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC PCC) has referred to the defeated presidential candidates of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Mr. Peter Obi, respectively, as sore losers.

The council claimed that Obi is Nigeria’s “most dangerous and divisive politician” due to his conduct during the election campaign.

However, the Presidential Election Court (PEC) in Abuja has granted permission to both Atiku and Obi to inspect materials used for the February 25 election, while seven states that had gone to court to seek the invalidation of President-elect Bola Tinubu’s victory have withdrawn the case.

According to the flag bearer of African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the election, Mr. Dumebi Kachikwu, the victory of Tinubu was due to his consistency, preparation, and opportunity. The APC PCC has accused Atiku and Obi of feeding Nigerians with lies, while Obi anchored his campaign on religion and ethnicity, elevating his well-known clannish mentality to a most unfortunate height.

The APC PCC has also stated that the reasons for losing the elections were foretold and that PDP had been decimated by Mr. Peter Obi. Alake, the Special Adviser on Media and Communication, stated that transmission of election results by INEC was discretionary and that the Act did not contain any mandatory provision regarding the transmission of results.

He urged the defeated candidates to pursue their grievances with decorum and to encourage their members, supporters, and ethnic and religious consultants to follow the path of the rule of law
