Barely a year after the hit Showmax Original reality series The Real Housewives of Lagos launched, Real Housewives franchise debuts its latest content, The Real Housewives of Abuja, on February 17, on Showmax.
RHOAbuja follows the luxurious lives of six influential women in Abuja – Arafa, Comfort Booth, OJ Posharella, Princess Jecoco, Samantha Homossany, and Tutupie as they navigate their opulent lives, relationships, family, and businesses in the powerful city of Abuja.
Here are a few things we look forward to from the show…
Knowing the ladies better
If the cast of RHOLagos is anything to go by, we know Showmax has mastered the art of selecting the most exciting personalities and RHOAbuja was no different. The ladies served us an eclectic mix of the bougie, the good, and the crazy.
However, we’d love to know more about them, their work, careers, family, and relationships, and even get a peek into their wardrobes.
Luxury and wealth
Apart from being a city of power, the city’s residents are also known for their luxurious and ultra-wealthy lifestyle. We expect to see the ladies go on trips in private jets, sipping champagne with caviar, and dressed to the nines in designer clothes. We also expect to get an all-access pass to some of the most exclusive places and events via the ladies.
The plan is to live vicariously through them (winks)
Friendships
One of the key ingredients of the Real Housewives franchise is the existing friendships between some of the ladies and the birth of new ones. We’d like to see if their friendships will stand the test of the show.
Will we have a repeat of the Toyin and Laura situation? Chioma and Caroline? Or even the most unexpected ones like Iyabo and Chioma? We’ll keep our fingers crossed.
Drama and Controversy
The Real Housewives is synonymous with drama and we’ll like to see the Abuja version of it. We want all the tea and gossip. From conflicts between the housewives themselves to issues within their families, fans can expect to see some explosive moments on the show.
The Parties
No one throws a party better than a real housewife. An invite to one of their parties means access to unlimited champagne, the best cuisine, and meeting high net-worth individuals. There is also the drama that happens at these parties. We’ll just keep our fingers crossed and wait for it all.
