How Gani Fawehinmi was ‘rejected’ in 2003 – Sowore

Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, has stated that Nigeria is currently experiencing a political situation similar to that of 2003, just a few days before the February 25 presidential election.

In 2003, late human rights activist Chief Gani Fawehinmi was a candidate for the National Conscience Party and had the potential to lead Nigeria out of corruption, oppression, and starvation, but the ruling class brainwashed many Nigerians not to vote for him.

Sowore claims that a similar situation exists today, where the Nigerian people have the opportunity to vote for the candidate who will lead them out of their current difficulties.

Sowore, who founded the AAC, participated in the 2019 presidential election, garnering 0.12% of the total votes, and is one of eighteen presidential candidates in this year’s election. Nigerians are eagerly awaiting the election results to decide the country’s future.
