The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has suspended Kingsley Kanu, the younger brother of its leader Nnamdi Kanu, from the group.

The suspension was announced in a statement by the National Coordinator of the group in Germany, Collins Chinedu, and issued by IPOB’s spokesperson, Emma Powerful.

The group accused Kingsley Kanu of engaging in anti-IPOB activities, including insubordination, forming a parallel leadership in Germany, and violating the group’s code of conduct.

The group also stated that Kingsley Kanu had been using his affiliation with Nnamdi Kanu to an unmerited advantage and placing himself above IPOB rules and discipline.

Kingsley Kanu has been warned that further violations of the code of conduct will result in serious legal consequences.
