Festus Keyamo, spokesperson for the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council and Minister of State for Labour, has stated that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will win the upcoming presidential election on the first ballot.

On Channels Television’s Politics Today, Keyamo, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, said the main opposition party, the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), has been weakened and will lose the election.

He said: “The election will be concluded decisively on the first ballot. The trio of Kwankwaso, Obi and Atiku Abubakar promoted the same ticket in 2019, yet, we beat them with four million votes. They got 11 million votes, while we got 15 million votes.  That 11 million votes have been divided into three now. But our 15 million votes remain the same and even more.”

He also stated that there is no need for a run-off election as the ruling party will win decisively on the first ballot. Keyamo cited the defection of Rabiu Kwankwanso and Peter Obi from the PDP to other parties as evidence of the ruling party’s impending victory.
