Daniella Peters shared with Tosin on Unfiltered with OloriSuperGal about her journey in Biggie’s house, being a top 6 finalist, her relationship with Dotun and Khalid, her friendship with Adekunle and Bryann.
OSG: What was the first thing you read on your phone when you got it?
Daniella: My brother’s message saying I’m so happy for you, call me.
OSG: So tell us about your relationship in the house, 10 weeks in the house, you and Bryann’s relationship is one of those that people will see and be like how did it happen, so just tell us about it?
Daniella: Our friendship is something I can’t explain and the first day he walked into the house, I was like oh Bryann because I have a friend and I don’t know why but you seem familiar, so from there we made good friends and since then it has always been good connections.
OSG: When did that relationship start with Adekunle coupled with the fact that you both were on a different level in the house, so when did you find that solace in him till the extent he started pampering you as his younger sister in the house?
Daniella: I think it all started from the first day we got into the house during the HOH game, Adekunle came to say hi and from there it was already a big connection then coming to the meager, we spoke but we didn’t have time to talk much until during the final week of the show when we were so close and talked a lot and couple with the fact that people didn’t understand him but we were there for each other.
OSG: You received like a princess treatment in the house from different gays for you even though you joked about it once with Phyna Chichi, so let’s talk about that.
Daniella: It was very funny and I enjoyed it because the first couple of days, everyone took me like the baby of the house and I wasn’t the youngest, so from Kelz, Bryann, and Adekunle they were just sweet people that cared about me in the house, so who am I to say no?
OSG: Let’s talk about your relationship in the house, from Khaled to Dotun, so can for just quickly tell us about the whole thing?
Daniella: Left to me, I wouldn’t want to discuss it but the fact that it’s a show and in front of everybody, okay I do owe an explanation at some point. Khalid and I were very genuine and when he left, it was hard for me to find a balance because he was my eagle throughout the whole process even before he left, I told him I don’t know how I would navigate myself through the show without you being here. When we merged, Dotun was all my as well and I tried to prevent as much as possible but at the same time the pressure and fact that he was too available, supportive, and everything. At this point, I just don’t want anyone to feel as if they were used or played.
OSG: Have you guys spoken since you get out of the house?
Daniella: Khalid and I had a brief conversation recently and right now, it’s just peace, he understands and is completely forgiven.
OSG: So is there anything like moving forward between yourself and Khalid?
Daniella: For now, I can’t say
OSG: Talking about the relationship between you and Dotun coupled with the fact that he chose you as his companion during the HoH, so tell us a little about your relationship with Dotun.
.Daniella: What I can’t say is the fact that he came on with the idea of having more than friendship and I still love us to be friends.” He did ask me several times, if what I had with Khalid was serious and I told him, yes and several occasions when we are together, I keep telling him about Khalid and me and there was a time he came to tell me that my friends have told me to leave you alone and were like I won’t sand I was like okay, if this is how it is going to be, then there will be a lot of work for me and, to be honest, I can’t blame Dotun because I had a choice and that is what I’m about to do right now.
OSG: What drives you as a woman in the house to see your motivation during the HOH and weekly wager tasks?
Daniella: One of the things that drives me into the house was because my family supported me coming here. My mom was the pioneer of everything and I feel like I didn’t believe in myself too much but the fact that she did and to prove to them right that whatever they saw in me, I will try and exhibit that and I’m here Biggie chose me out of thousands of applicants, so I can try.
OSG: Is there anything you will say you regret since you left Biggie’s house?
Daniella: The only thing I will say I regret will be the fact that I could not maintain a proper friendship with Dotun in the house not creating a boundary but that one is in the past now.
OSG: Being a finalist and one of the top 6, how does it feel and what should we be expecting from Daniella?
Daniella: Being in the top 6 in Big Brother was a dream come through f, or me to be honest. For now, I will try my poetry on every site now that I’m out, I know that Big Brother was a platform for me to showcase what I have and I will be using that platform as a pedistore so that other poets will know they can do it, also bring out other ways other poets can come together to have a community of writers and showcase Nigeria has so much talent. Also my business as well, my logistics, and my lounge that is coming soon, so keep your hands busy and eyes open and maybe the presenter as well.
