Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has cautioned 316 students from the state studying at Glocal University, India, against cultism and other aspects of misconduct.?
?Press Secretary to the Governor, Hussain Mai-Sule, announced in Damaturu, yesterday, that the sponsored students were drawn from the 17 local councils to study medicine, pharmacy, engineering, as well as paramedic sciences.?

Buni was represented by his Deputy, Idi Gubana, in India, to interact with the students and the school’s management as well as assess the student’s progress in the institution.?

“Students, be guided by ethical values, good conduct, and moral behavior,” he said, adding that this will ensure compliance with acceptable norms of India.?

Gubana, during the visit, met the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Syed Ahmed, and peddled ideas with him on performances and proper mentoring of the students.?

“We have 83 others studying in the United Kingdom, Sudan, and Uganda,” he said.?
?
According to him, foreign sponsorship of students was to raise the “standards of education” and address the dearth of manpower in the civil service.?
