A Nigerian man on social media has shared a Heartbreaking video of a Homeless mother and kids eating raw-Garri from the Floor.
According to him, he said;
“I just bumped into this family at the Atm stand, It was soul-wrenching to watch this kid eat garri from the bare floor. I just couldn’t hold back How everyone was just withdrawing and leaving the stand which got me emotional that I just couldn’t do the same”
He reportedly approached them out of curiosity and pity to enquire what led to their predicament.
The mother in response said to have been based in the north with her husband but because of the whole insecurities in the north, she had to return to the east with her children leaving her husband in the north.
“It has been a hell of a life for them, catering for her kids since her husband abandoned them. Due to non-payment of rent, the landlord drove them out of the house leaving them homeless” she said.
According to the man he said;
“so many things that got me emotional that I had to tell her to stop…. in the end, I gave them the little I have to at least give those kids something to eat…I will still be seeing her again
See eh life is hard right now and if you have everything you wished for….and you are in a comfortable home with people that love you…..trust me each passing day…you have to be thankful…” – he added
