Gunmen Abduct Niger State Commissioner
The Commissioner for Information and Strategy in Niger State, Mallam Idris Mohammed, has been abducted by suspected gunmen.

Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim Matane, Secretary to the state government, confirmed the Commissioner was abducted around 1 am at his hometown, Baban Tunga in Tafa local government area.
He noted that security operatives have commenced necessary actions to rescue him.
