Vanessa Bryant opens up about her struggle with grief just a week ahead of the anniversary of losing her late husband Kobe Bryant and daughter Gianna Bryant, who both tragically died in a helicopter crash last year on January 26 in California.
Vanessa Bryant took to social media to share how she’s managing grief following the death of her husband and daughter.
Kobe Bryant’s widow shared a message on Instagram in which she encouraged people who have also suffered loss to “find a reason to live.”
She wrote;
“Let me be real – Grief is a messed up cluster of emotions. One day you’re in the moment laughing and the next day you don’t feel like being alive, I want to say this for people struggling with grief and heartbreaking loss. Find your reason to live. I know it’s hard. I look at my daughters and I try to push through that feeling for them,” she continued. “Death is guaranteed but living the rest of the day isn’t. Find your reason.”
