The 2021 Grammy Awards originally scheduled for January 31, 2021, has been postponed due to coronavirus concerns, say the organisers.
The ceremony, one of the music industry’s biggest awards, will now take place on March 14, 2021, due to rising infection numbers in Los Angeles and the state of California.
Beyoncé, Taylor Swift and Dua Lipa led the nominations for this years awards, which were announced in November, 2020.
Nigerian artiste Burna Boy also got a Grammy nomination with his album, ‘Twice as Tall’ under the category of Best Global Music Award.
The event has been set to take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, with “The Daily Show” host Trevor Noah acting as host.
