Former Emir of Kano, Mohammed Sanusi II has reacted to the widespread speculations about him aspiring for the presidential seat in the 2023 elections.

Declaring that he has no immediate plans of going into partisan politics during an interview with Arise TV, the former Emir of Kano said, “People have been talking to me about politics when I was in the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). I have never had an interest in partisan politics.

“The nature of my family is that we consider ourselves the leaders of all people and you know politics can be very divisive. I see my life as a life of service. I just don’t think pubic service is limited to elected office.”
