Court Dismisses Assault Case Against Senator Abbo

A Magistrate Court in Zuba, Abuja has dismissed the assault case against Senator Abbo on the premise that the prosecution did not prove its case beyond reasonable doubt.

Senator Elisha Abbo, who is the lawmaker representing Adamawa-North, was caught on-video assaulting a woman, Osimibibra Warmate in a sex toy shop. He afterwards apologized to the victim in a televised press conference.

However, the Magistrate Court seems not to take cognizance of this as the Court upheld the no-case submission of Senator Abbo and dismissed the case accordingly.
