One of the roles of the government is to protect the lives and property of citizens and the government plays this role through its law enforcement agents. However, with the presence of a lot of security agencies, insecurity and insurgency is still on the rise in Nigeria, especially in the Northern part of Nigeria.
Recently, Katsina state has been under the attack of bandits who raid the people’s homes of their properties and supply with the intention of causing harm to the public. The Air Force Special Forces have been deployed to the state for immediate intervention in order to protect the lives and property of the people. The intervention of the Air Force was as a result of the outcry made by President Mohammed Buhari to smoke out the bandits in Katsina state.
The concept of security is very germane in a nation and hence there is the need for highly-equipped and well-skilled enforcement agents to always be on guard in order to protect the lives and property of the people.
