As the Eid-El-Fitr celebrations continue today, the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has promised Nigerians that the necessary security measures will be put in place to enable the Muslims have a safe celebration across the country. Also, the Inspector-General has reminded the citizens to remain law abiding especially in relation to the social distancing guidelines given by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
He told Nigerians that the restrictions are still very much in place despite the celebrations and the Nigerian Police Force will not hesitate to enforce the restriction orders set in place to curb the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic. These restrictions include the restrictions on interstate movement, the curfew orders and the ban on social gatherings existing in certain states like Lagos, Ogun and the Federal Capital Territory.
