Callum Hudson Odoi, a Chelsea footballer has been arrested by the Metropolitan police after allegations of rape made against him after an incident at his apartment in West London. The Metropolitan police reported that they recieved a call from an unwell woman who also called the London Ambulance Service to report a case of rape against the footballer. It was also stated by the Metropolitan police that the footballer has been arrested and has also been released on bail to return in mid-June.
We have not received a confirmed statement from the Chelsea player, howbeit, we are not sure if the player would be resuming the football season during the gradual ease of lockdown, especially since the player has also been accused of breaking lockdown guidelines since he was the one who invited the woman into his apartment. He might have to go through the 14-day isolation window to be able to join in the football match
