The African Giant; Burna Boy has proven his worth in the international scene as he bagged home the award for the Best International Act at the just concluded BET Awards, 2019. He was nominated in the same category with AKA from South Africa, Aya Nakamura from France, Dave from the U.K, Dosseh From France, Giggs from the U.K, as well as fellow Nigerian; Mr Eazi.
Giving an acceptance speech at the awards, on behalf of her son, Bose Ogulu; Burna boy’s mother said; “Thank you very much, BET. Thank you, Africa, because that is the constituency for which we got noticed in the first place, and the message from Burna I believe would be that every person should please remember that you were Africans before you were anything else, thank you.”
Still in awe of his victory at the awards, Burna boy took to his twitter page and tweeted; God is Great! Thank You To Everyone that’s supporting, I wouldn’t have this without you. This one is for Africa.
