FG Declares June 12 Public Holiday To Mark Maiden National Democracy Day

The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Wednesday, June 12 as a public holiday to commemorate the maiden National Democracy day across the country. The news was made known in a statement issued by the Director (Press & Public Relations), Ministry of Interior, Mohammed Manga, on Monday urging Nigerians to remember the sacrifices of past heroes who fought for the country to attain democracy.June 12- Public Holiday

He also sought for cooperation of all Nigerians with the Administration of President Muhammadu Buhari towards achieving a collective aspiration for the unity, peace and socio-economic development of Nigeria as he wished all Nigerians at home and abroad a happy Democracy Day Celebration.
