At least 10 persons have died after gunmen attacked Nandu, a village in Sanga Local Government Area on Friday.
Over 30 houses were burnt down in the village which is in the border between Nasarawa and Plateau state.
Chairman Sanga Local Government Council, Mr Charles Danladi, while confirming the incident said normalcy has returned to the affected village.
He also said authorities were doing their best to bring the situation under control.
Kaduna state Governor, Nasir El-Rufai’s in a statement released by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr. Samuel Aruwan, confirmed the attack and begged for calm.
