The Super Eagles trio of Alex Iwobi, Ahmed Musa and Odion Ighalo have been nominated for the CAF African Player of The Year Award.
Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr has also been nominated in the Coach of the Year category.
Current African Women’s Player of the Year, Asisat Oshoala has been nominated, alongside other Nigerian players like Desire Oparanozie, Francisca Ordega and Onome Ebifor the Women’s Player of the Year award, while the Super Falcons are vying for The Women’s Team if the Year.
The nominees are chosen from votes by the members of the Caf Media Committee, Caf Technical & Development Committee and half of the 20-member panel of experts.
Egyptian player, Mo Sallah is the current African player of the Year.
