Chiwetel Ejiofor has sold the global rights of his latest movie, “The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind” to Netflix.
The movie, shot in Malawi, is based on a bestselling book by Bryan Mealer and tells the story of a 13-year-old girl that was evicted from school because her parents could not pay school fees.
The girl found a way back into school by sneaking into the library to read and eventually used the bones of the bicycle belonging to his father to build a windmill which eventually saves his village from famine.
The cast of the movie includes Lemogang Tsipa, Philbert Falakeza, Joseph Marcell, Maxwell Simba, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Aïssa Maïga, Lily Banda, and Noma Dumezweni.
We can wait to watch what the 12 years a Slave actor has in stock for us in his directorial debut.
