Julia Roberts, who has starred in some of the most popular romantic comedies in the history of the romcom has revealed she doesn’t see herself acting in one again.
Roberts, who famously made Nothing Hill, Pretty Woman, and Runaway Bride said she stopped making them not because she doesn’t like romcoms, but because the movies no longer work for her.
She said: “”There came a point in my career where people thought I had turned on romantic comedies, which I love them, I love to be in them, I love to watch them,”
She believes it will be harder for her to sell the performance to the audience considering she is no longer an hapless, young woman.
“But sometimes, they just don’t work at a certain point of life experience.
“Unless we [play] the parents of the people that are rom-com-ing”
