Talented Moroccan rapper, French Montana has just been given the honor of Global Citizen Ambassador for his charity work in Uganda.
Karim Kharbouch better known by his stage name French Montana, is a Moroccan-American hip hop recording artist. He is the founder of Coke Boys Records, and its predecessor Cocaine City Records. In 2012, he signed a joint-venture recording deal with Bad Boy Records and Maybach Music Group.
The Coke Boy MC’s work in Uganda started after he visited the country to film his “Unforgettable” video, last year. He ended up donating $100,000 to the Mama Hope Foundation, an organization that supports global entrepreneurship to help end extreme poverty in the African country. The money went toward a hospital that helped facilitate pregnant women and a health care initiative.
French Montana is the first rapper to receive such an honor as global citizen ambassador in Uganda.
