The South African President Jacob Zuma has confirmed that Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe has been placed under house arrest.
Tweeting through @GovernmentZA, the official South African Government account, it was announced that South Africa would be sending a special envoy to both Zimbabwe and Angola.
It was revealed that the envoy, which will include the South African Minister of Defence, will be meeting with Mugabe and the Zimbabwean Defence Force.
