PDP Criticise Alleged Plan To Promote Ibrahim Magu

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has slammed the alleged plan by the Police Service Commission to promote Ibrahim Magu, to the rank of assistant inspector-general (AIG).

Magu, was a commissioner of police before he was sacked as acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegations of abuse of office.

PDP, in a statement, through it’s National Publicity Secretary said the move to promote Magu is a “direct slap on the sensibilities of Nigerians”.

The party, also urged the Police Service Commission (PSC) and the Police high command to resist the pressure from the corrupt cabal in the Presidency.
