Inmates Reportedly Freed As Unknown Gunmen Set Imo State Prison Ablaze

In a video sighted online, a prison in Imo State, Nigeria was reportedly in flames.

Per what we gathered, the facility was set ablaze by some unknown gunmen who stormed the facilty.

The incident reportedly occurred in the early hours of Monday, April 5, and per what we gathered, the attackers struck the prison and police department shortly after midnight, freeing some unknown number of inmates.

It was also gathered that there was heavy gunfire as security operatives reportedly engage the attackers in a gun battle.
