Buhari, Osinbajo Receive First Dose Of AstraZeneca COVID-19 Vaccine

President Muhammadu Buhari, and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo have received their first Jab of the AstraZeneca vaccine on live TV, Saturday, March 6, 2021, at the new Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

The president was injected with the vaccine by his Chief Personal Physician, Dr Shuaib Rafindadi Sanusi, while the Vice President was injected by Dr Nicholas Odifre, his Personal Physician.

After taking the vaccines, both leaders were later presented with electronic cards containing the details of their vaccinations by the Executive Director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Dr Faisal Shuaib.

The president said, “I have received my first jab and I wish to recommend it to all eligible Nigerians to do same so that we can be protected from the virus.”
