Smartphone brand, itel Mobile, has today donated smart television sets, stationaries, and sanitizers to support the dreams of 150 young ballet dancers in Lagos in partnership with Vskit, Africa’s leading short video platform.

The donation tagged #itelSupportsDreams forms one part of activities put together by the customer-centric brand to celebrate this year’s Christmas season with her people and communities, particularly young children.

Aged 9 – 15, the benefiting recipients received cases of stationaries, goodie bags, and sanitizers through the CSR-based event. They were selected from the Leap of Dance Academy, Ajangbadi, and Patya Expression Academy, Akowonjo, Lagos state.

Also, smart television sets were presented to the ballet education and creative art schools to aid instructors in grooming the young ballerinas and encouraging the drive to dream big and achieve success with ballet.

Speaking at the outreach, Marketing Manager for itel Mobile Nigeria, Oke Umurhohwo, noted: “The growth and advancement of any society has a lot to do with giving people access to knowledge and life-changing skills. This is what we are pushing for in Nigeria as a committed brand with #itelSupportDreams. Regardless of the field of interest, every dream should matter and we are ready to support these dreams as much as we can.”

“Ballet is the focus for us at this time due to the elegance, artistry, creativity and graceful movements that define the classical dance. We hope that the brand’s efforts will inspire more support for young persons and success stories, just like the recent motivating story of an 11-year-old ballet dancer, Anthony Madu.”
