Nigerian Giannis Antetokounmpo Wins His Second NBA MVP Award


Nigerian Giannis Antetokounmpo has made history in the history of National Basketball Association (NBA) as he is now the third player to win the Most Valuable Player (MVP) and the Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY) in the same season, joining Michael Jordan and Hakeem Olajuwon.

The 25-year-old player averaged 29.5 points, 13.6 rebounds and 5.6 assists in 63 regular-season games in 2019-20. He averaged 26.7 points, 13.8 rebounds and 5.7 assists in nine play-off games.
