EFCC Speaks on Magu’s Purported Arrest
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has also debunked the purported arrest of Ibrahim Magu, the acting Chairman of the Commission.
According to them, Mr. Ibrahim Magu only honoured an invitation to review the activities of the Commission before a Presidential Panel at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The Commission also mentioned that a member of the EFCC’s legal team was with him on the Panel.
Finally, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission denied media reports that said Ibrahim Magu was arrested. The Commission said “the EFCC’s boss was neither arrested nor forced to honour the invitation.”
