APCON To Begin Vetting Social Media Adverts

The Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria, APCON, has announced it plans to begin vetting social media/internet based adverts before circulation.

In a statement released by the body, it made clear the need for advert materials to be vetted before they can be uploaded on the internet.

Several reactions have trailed this action, as Nigerians believe this is a step too far, going by the flexibility of the digital space.
